63 Building [Take 2]

As we were walking along the path of cherry blossoms, Lucy and I noticed signs for the 63 building. The last time I went to the 63 building, it was at night. My camera really sucks at taking pictures at night, so I always wanted to go again during the day so I could have better photos of the Seoul cityscape. And since Lucy and I were already in Yeouido, we decided to go. ^^ After we watched the Seoulscape fade from sunset into night, we headed back out to join the revelry. After that, we parted ways so I could go and have my tattoo consultation.

I love the bridges in Seoul.

A really weird pic of Lucy

Really cool waterfall sink

Then, after the 63 Building, Lucy was meeting up with some friends. So, I tagged along til I had to leave for Nonhyeon around 9 pm.
There were still lots of events happening on the river-- concerts, fire spinners, dancers, etc.

Chuseok Holiday Part 七 Mapo Hangeng Park and 63 (Yuksam) Building

So, my last touristy visit over my Chuseok holiday was to the Yuksam building. It used to be the tallest building in South Korea until the Hyperion Building and Northeast Asia Trade Tower opened in 2003 and 2009, respectively. It's called the 63 Building for its 63 stories, three of which are basement level floors. The "Sky Art" observation floor houses an art museum, so you can enjoy the art and a spectacular view of the city.

I'm sorry my pictures did not come out well. I went at night and pretty much everything looks like a blurr of lights in my pictures. I am planning of going sometime during the day, so I can retake pictures that will be come out with better views of the city. But, it is beautiful at night. I'm sorry that my camera couldn't translate the view into a nice picture. So... disclaimer over, time for the pics....

My favorite piece of artwork that I saw was this painting-- a rush hour subway scene showing all different kinds of people, lumped together because of the Seoul public transportation system.

Video of the elevator ride up 60 floors-- you can hear the English tour guide spiel over the intercom towards the end.
